SLM Council Mission
All Federal Agencies are tasked with implementing Software License Management (SLM) to meet Federal requirements, including those of MEGABYTE. These Agencies are all scored via OMB guidelines using FITARA. The purpose of the non-profit SLM Council is to have a venue for Agency SLM staff and their partners. It is a forum to learn of best practices, get advice, and be among their peers all working toward successful SLM implementation.
The SLM Council will be led by an independent board of directors*. SLM Council members are a mix of Federal Agency SAM and SLM staff and their partners, as well as SAM vendors and their partners. Membership will be free for Agency staff and for SAM partners and limited to organizations who are committed, without regard to sales pursuits, to further the interest and learnings of SLM for Federal Agencies.
*The SLM Council board of directors will be created once the Council meets and determines the need.
